What is Invisalign and how does it work?

Invisalign is an orthodontic system that uses a series of nearly invisible, removable plastic trays to move teeth gradually into place. Each aligner is custom‑made from a digital scan of your teeth and worn for about one to two weeks before advancing to the next set. You should wear your aligners 20–22 hours per day, removing them only to eat, drink anything besides water, and brush or floss. Like braces, Invisalign gently guides teeth into alignment; treatment length varies from a few months for minor adjustments to around 18 months for more complex movements.

Getting started with Invisalign

Your Invisalign journey begins with a complimentary consultation. During this visit, we will take digital scans, discuss your goals and evaluate your bite. We’ll show you a 3D simulation of your new smile and explain your treatment timeline and cost. If you decide to proceed, your custom aligners are fabricated and you return in a few weeks to receive them. You’ll wear each set of aligners as instructed, switching to the next set at home and visiting us every 8–12 weeks for progress checks.
